This site exists because the information is out there — buried in government websites written for program administrators, not the facility managers and building owners who actually need to use it.
I built GetEnergyRebates.com to fix that.
What I’ve Done
I’m a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and electrical engineer with about ten years of field experience across commercial solar and battery storage, defense and marine power systems, and large-scale hydroelectric operations with a major utility in the Northeast. I founded Synkronos Energy Solutions to provide commercial energy audits and incentive consulting to building owners and designers in the Northeast.
The credentials matter, but what I trust more is simpler: I’ve done the work. When I describe an ASHRAE Level 2 energy audit, it’s because I’ve performed them. When I explain how utility rebate applications work, it’s because I’ve filed them. When I write about Section 179D, it’s because I’ve certified projects under it.
Why This Site
Commercial building owners are leaving real money on the table — not because the programs don’t exist, but because nobody has organized the information in plain language. Utility rebate programs, federal tax deductions, state efficiency incentives — all of it is available, and all of it is scattered across agency websites designed for regulators, not decision-makers.
This is the resource I wish had existed when I started doing this work.
Work with Me
If you have a commercial building project and want a professional assessment of what rebates and incentives apply — or need a commercial energy audit — that work goes through Synkronos Energy Solutions.

I grew up in Montana, studied electrical engineering at Montana State University, and have spent the past several years working in the Northeast on large-scale power systems. The focus on commercial energy incentives came directly from field work — watching qualifying projects leave real money unclaimed, mostly because the rules are hard to navigate without someone who actually knows the programs.
