The short version

We ask for as little as possible. You can search for rebates with just your ZIP code — no phone number and no account required. We only pass your details to a contractor if you specifically ask us to. We never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Information you enter in the rebate finder. Your ZIP code and the answers you give about your home or business (such as property type, ownership, heating fuel, and income range) so we can match you to programs. Income is collected only as an eligibility range — we do not ask for, or store, an exact income figure.
  • Contact details you choose to share. If you ask us to connect you with a contractor, or you use a contact or subscribe form, we collect the name, email, phone, the address of the property the work is for, and any message you provide.
  • Automatic technical data. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record standard information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site, using cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • To find and rank the rebate and incentive programs that fit your situation.
  • To connect you with a contractor in our network only when you request an introduction. Network contractors applied and were accepted; we collect and keep their licensing and insurance documents, and where the body that issued a credential publishes a way to check it, that check may be run. We do not verify their work, inspect it or approve it, and membership is not our endorsement of any contractor. What they owe you is published in the Contractor Network Standards.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website, and to understand how it is used.

When we share information

  • With contractors — only at your request. When you ask for an introduction, we release your name, your email address, your phone number and the address of the property to the contractor who takes it. If you asked us not to call you, your phone number is withheld and the contractor is not given it. We share the project details you provided and, for income-qualified programs, whether your household falls within the eligibility range. We never share an exact income figure or your financial details. The contractor may use what we release to respond to that introduction and to do work you engage them for, and nothing else; those obligations are published in the Contractor Network Standards.
  • With service providers. We use trusted vendors (for example, hosting, email delivery, and analytics) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to measure traffic, and — where applicable — to support advertising. Third-party analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site works.

Your choices

  • You can use the rebate finder without giving us any contact information.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us by emailing the address below.
  • You can unsubscribe from any emails you opted into at any time.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

This site is intended for adults, is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
