Why I Built This Site
I built this site because often the people who need help with their energy costs are the ones least likely to have the time to find the help available to them. Government program pages are notoriously difficult to navigate, and utilities typically don’t spend a lot advertising their rebate programs. Most people don’t have the money to pay $150 or more an hour to an energy consultant and don’t realize that there’s help available to cover those costs.
That’s what this site is for.
I’ve spent my career working with electrical and mechanical systems at scale — residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar and storage installations, defense and marine systems, hydroelectric facilities and grid interconnects. When I started energy consulting I was struck by how much money was being left on the table and how many efficiency projects had been shelved just because finding the available resources was too difficult. People literally knew there’s a $10,000 incentive available to them but gave up trying to figure out how to claim it. That’s unacceptable.
How We Choose the Best Rebates
GetEnergyRebates.com finds what federal, state, and local utilities publish about their programs and filters that down to what’s available to you. In some cases that may be more than 10 programs. When it is, we narrow it to the two or three that save the most energy and money with the smallest investment.

We don’t take money from program administrators or utilities to rank or promote their programs. Listings are based on program quality, availability, and fit — not on who’s paying.

Energy incentive programs change more often than most people expect. We track those changes so you don’t have to.
