How we make money
GetEnergyRebates.com costs you nothing to use. We support it through two kinds of compensation:
- Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.
- Contractor referral fees. If you ask us to, we may connect you with a contractor in our network. When we do, we may receive a referral fee from that contractor.
It never changes what we show you
Our compensation never affects which rebates or programs you see, or the order in which they appear. Program matches come from the details you enter and our own primary-source-verified data — not from who pays us. (See How we verify program data.)
What this costs you
Nothing. Using the site, the rebate finder, and getting introduced to a contractor are at no cost to you. A referral fee is paid by the contractor, not added to your project.
Why we disclose this
The Federal Trade Commission asks websites to clearly disclose material connections — like affiliate commissions and referral fees — that a reader might want to know about. This page is that disclosure.
